A day full of Zoom meetings or a day full of the beach?

I feel like it’s more important to build something you feel like you could practically do forever…

…than it is to race to the next income goal.

In the internet marketing space…

…what I say next is sacrilegious.

Because you know what everyone says?

You better be 24-7 hustling, grinding, scaling, booking appointments…

…and posting your 2-comma-club award…

…from Madison Square Garden…

…aboard your private yacht/jet…

…eating caviar off a supermodel‘s bikini ass…

…while your Stripe account explodes with incoming payments…

…scaling to $10k, $100k, $1 mill, $10 mill…

…a calendar so jam packed because you’re an important muthafucka…

…ready to exit for your 20x SAAS multiple…

…and 500 Instagram photos to prove it!

But that ain’t the real world.

Many successful entrepreneurs tear stuff down that’s working because it was built in an unsustainable way.

If you’re around more than 5 years…

…you’ll see it happen.

Most of us real humans have more modest goals.

Play with the kids.

Go for a swim.

Have a nice meal.

Do something fun in the middle of the day.

Get in better shape.

Have a few minutes to relax.

Help people.

Find better more efficient ways to better serve clients without everything falling on our shoulders.

I find I do my best thinking work in nature. Far away from Zoom.

Chilled out. With some nice music. Somewhere comfortable.

I grind here and there.

But mostly I slow down and figure out simplicity.

Random thoughts on a Thursday in Mexico.

May the force be with you.
